MICHELLE MACKIE - UNTIL THE LAST PETAL FALLS Limited Edition
Michelle Mackie's artwork is often described as ethereal and fairy tale-esque.
A photographer and digital artist, Michelle is a master at visual storytelling.
We love her strong feminine figures taking centre stage in her artworks.
This artwork, titled "Until the Last Petal Falls," evokes a sense of fragile beauty and inevitable decay. The scattered rose petals, suspended in the air, symbolise the passage of time, with each petal representing a fleeting moment.
The title suggests a connection to themes of love and impermanence, reminiscent of the enchanted rose in "Beauty and the Beast," where time is running out "until the last petal falls." The surrounding dark forest enhances the isolation, while the butterflies hovering nearby hint at transformation, adding a delicate contrast between entrapment and fleeting freedom. This painting beautifully captures the tension between life’s beauty and its inevitable end.
