LOUIS SIDOLI - THE GETAWAY
Depicting ultimate 'bad boy'; Steve McQueen, Louis Sidoli's incredible neon artwork highlights McQueen's role in the iconic 70's flick; 'The Getaway'.
The film also starred Ali MacGraw who McQueen had a public affair with during filming. She later married McQueen on July 13, 1973, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and divorced him in 1978. The artwork features Steve McQueens actual passport, guns and bullets reflecting the theme of the film.
A myriad of materials are used to create this incredible artwork. Brushed aluminium with a high gloss finish is accompanied by traditional hand-blown glass neon tubing which sets off the piece perfectly.
