LOUIS SIDOLI - LITTLE RED CORVETTE
This vibrant artwork celebrates the legendary track that propelled Prince to fame, reaching No. 7 in the UK in 1983 before soaring to No. 2 when re-released, 1999 in 1985. Inspired by the song’s playful automotive innuendos, Prince is depicted in his signature flamboyant style, set against a vintage map of Minneapolis—his beloved hometown and the home of Paisley Park.
A technical drawing of an early '80s Corvette pays tribute to both the song and the artist’s own passion for design. At its core, a handcrafted neon sculpture glows with retro charm, illuminating the piece with a mesmerizing energy. When switched off, the transparent glass tubes disappear, making this a truly unique and dynamic work of art.
A myriad of materials are used to create this incredible artwork. Brushed aluminium with a high gloss finish is accompanied by traditional hand-blown glass neon tubing which sets off the piece perfectly.
