LEIGH LAMBERT  -  Leigh Lambert is known for his nostalgic paintings that capture the humour, colour and simple joy of childhood. His work is not just about where he grew up, but about the people, memories and sense of community that make childhood feel so special.

Back lanes, corner shops, washing lines, ice cream vans and rows of terraced houses all feature throughout Leigh’s work. These familiar scenes feel personal, but also wonderfully universal. They remind us of playing outside, making our own fun and finding excitement in the smallest everyday moments.

Working mainly in oils on board, Leigh has developed a style that is instantly recognisable. His landscapes are often painted in soft monochrome, with little bursts of colour added to the children, toys, bikes and playful details within the scene. This contrast draws your eye to the warmth and energy of the moment, giving each piece its charm and character.

Largely self-taught, Leigh has become one of the UK’s most collectable contemporary artists. His limited editions often sell out quickly, while his original paintings are highly sought after by collectors.

At the heart of Leigh Lambert’s work is a feeling we can all relate to: that childhood is made special not by the place itself, but by the memories, people and moments that stay with us forever.
