JOE GALINDO -  Joe Galindo grew up in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, showing an early talent for drawing. After university and a few years in 9-to-5 jobs, he decided to turn his passion into a career, painting pets, footballers, musicians, and taking commissions via social media to support himself. From there, his abstract landscapes began appearing in galleries, gradually gaining recognition.

Feeling the need for change, Joe left his hometown to travel across Asia and eventually settled in Australia, where he returned to painting and began selling work in Melbourne and Sydney. Along the way, he drew inspiration from the artists he met and the landscapes, jungles, coastlines, and wildlife he encountered. After a final stop in Sri Lanka, he returned home, ready to fully embrace his passion and creative purpose.

Joe’s style is defined by his experimental approach to paint. By layering techniques and mediums, he creates depth and contrast that make each piece vibrant and dynamic. Bold, contemporary colours combine with abstract depictions of wildlife in a loose, energetic style, resulting in works that are striking and open to personal interpretation. He often conveys emotion through the animals he paints, aiming to create a connection with the viewer.

Using unconventional tools; spoons, nails, bits of rubber - every piece is unique, shaped by the unpredictable movement of his brush and gestures.
